Travis
Travis (Farlap Tireless) is from the second litter to be line-bred from the two litters of Sanctus
Ch. Marksbury Quoniam Sanft.
Although we would have dearly have loved to breed him to Jubilant, his breeder endorsed his registration. In correspondence, my ex-wife said she would not lift it until he had produced satisfactory elbow scores.
Sadly both the daughters of Sanctus that were bred from, had previously had elbow operations.
At least two of Travis's brothers had joint problems resulting in their early euthanasia, so naturally Sam wants to avoid perpetuating this fault in her Farlap breeding.
Hence, Travis had his elbows and hips scored under the BVA scheme.
The elbow score couldn't have been better, 0-0, and the hip score was better than average for the breed; 4-8.
However, Sam would still not lift the endorsement, and cited harassment if any further requests were made.
Although I would have been happy to proceed with the mating, Jill's more responsible attitude,
wishing that Travis should have puppies only if they could be registered with the Kennel Club,
has prevented this line being pursued.
I am therefore grateful that Fiona McKenzie and the Pages, have been successful in breeding back to Travis's Sister.

Before this, Travis won two Reserve CCs at
Championship Shows with classes for Bloodhounds.
His greatest enjoyment comes from hunting the clean
boot, for which he competes at The Kennel Club
Working Trials for Bloodhounds.
Travis soon won the Novice Stake in March 2007,
at the Association of Bloodhound Breeders (ABB) Spring trials.
In the Junior Stakes, in Spring 2009, he came second to his kennel-mate Justice, and now competes in the Intermediate Stake at Kennel Club Working Trials for Bloodhounds, run by the Bloodhound Club and ABB.
